DESCRIPTION
Transport of scrap material between the Scrap Yard and Electro Melt Shop is realized by Bucket Cars – a 6 axles, low profile specialized automobiles carrying a Bucket of 150t of scrap. The Bucket itself is most of the time stationed in the area. It has a contact area with the ground by four feet. The road and area was is badly condition due to these heavy loads stationed and moved over. We made calculations for series of the loads over a mesh of reinforced concrete slabs as “slab over elastic ground”. We applied proved details of double mesh reinforcement and special joints. The correctness of design was proven in the next years of careless exploitation.
